Pigment inks are a good choice when you are going to use watercoloring techniques. They are waterproof when dry, and very stable in color. Inkjet printers usually use pigment inks when a long archival life is desired. Pigment inks bond well to the project surface. Because pigment inks dry slowly, they are ideal for embossing. They work best on absorbent papers, but can be embossed and heat set on coated, glossy, and non-absorbent papers.
